This is a striking 80s era suit by Parisian designer Thierry Mugler.  This type of fitted suit became synonymous with the Mugler brand during the 1980s, and this is a very nice example.  The suit consists of a jacket and skirt, both made of plaid wool.  The jacket is trimmed in black cotton velvet at the opening, faux pocket flaps and cuffs, each accented with a large silver toned metal buckle.  The jacket has padded shoulders, and closes with four velvet button covered snaps.  The jacket is quite structured and has a longer length - the lapels can be worn flat or raised to the front (see photos).  It is lined in black acetate.  The skirt is made in a simple, above the knee length.

It's in excellent, very clean condition with no wear, tear, holes, stains or odors.  This suit has been very well cared for and stored over the years.  

This is a wonderful suit featuring sculpted design and attractive detailing - sure to be noticed!
